The Charleston and Huntington Calligraphy Guilds of West Virginia will be hosting a workshop with well-known lettering artist Barbara Close from California. The workshop is entitled "Pointed Pen Magic". I will try to post some pics of work thoughout the weekend.
Had a great first day with Barb. She is a very gracious and sharing person. I wonder why it is that calligraphic artists are always so sharing? But they are! We reviewed the formal copperplate hand and then progressed into a more informal script. It is 7:30 and I'm off to the studio to play with new ideas from the day!
